PakEnergy Accounting is a modular software system. But...all modules share the same set of data files. This intelligent approach completely eliminates duplicating entries, saving time and disk space. And, since not all people have the same accounting needs, this approach allows you to purchase only the modules you need. Other modules can be added later, as required.
All of the systems feature:
•No monthly or yearly closings! •Unpost and correct errors as if they never happened. •Correct coding errors in real time quickly and easily. •All reports can be printed to any attached printer (network or local), to a disk file, or to the screen (with full page up-down-left-right scrolling). •Print reports for any time period. •Easy to use, pop-up browse and select windows for account, Sub-Account, vendor, purchaser, owner and printer selection. •Extreme flexibility with many user selectable options. •Multi-company...limited only by available disk space. •Advanced, easy to use data entry with full editing of on screen data. •Works on all major networks including Novell and LANtastic, Windows 2000, and XP. •Stacked, fully descriptive menus to indicate exactly where you are in the system. •On screen prompts and verification of information with friendly and informative error messages. •Easy customization to take full advantage of your printer and screen. •All reports and checks can be stopped and restarted with ease, in case of printer failure. •Reporting options allow you to select only the information you want to see. •Ability to verify and rebuild data files automatically, should you experience disk problems or power failure. •Will handle very large dollar amounts (18 significant digits).
The system is easy to learn. Setting up and computerizing your financial books is as easy as filling in on-screen forms. Interactive prompts ask for the required information, and verifies it before proceeding. If you make an error, simple error messages tell you why the entry is not accepted. Check out the new company checklist for setting up your company information. Data entry is made as simple as possible:
•Automatic advance to the next required field •Commas are automatically inserted as you enter numbers. •Negative/Credit amounts can be entered with either leading or trailing sign. •Edit amounts without re-typing the entire field; change any digit by moving the cursor and re-typing. •User-defined defaults in most modules allow you to set up your default accounts for a minimum of required changes. •The "Hot Key" function gives the user instant access to account and Sub-Account maintenance. This allows you to add accounts and Sub-Accounts 'on the fly' -- even if you're in the middle of a data entry screen.
You are not required to close out a fiscal year before starting another. Reports can be run for any time period you keep on disk. Coding errors can be corrected using the unpost or the real-time change features. The system also supports budgeting at any level of detail, flexible time periods (fiscal year, calendar year, 13-period) and expanded description fields (Up to 4000 characters).
