Setting up Detail Groups – Having Pak Accounting “Remember”
Payroll has a feature where it can “remember” which details to pay/deduct for a specific type of payroll being distributed.
For example, a company pays a quarterly bonus each quarter to its employees based on the profitability of the prior quarter. For this “special” payroll there should not be any of the “normal” deductions like insurance, united way, etc, but instead just the normal taxes and 401k deduction. The first time this payroll is processed the detail codes can be selected individually and then the detail group can be “SAVED”!
•First, select which detail codes you want to include.
•Then click on the "Detail Groups" tab, then click on "Save" and give it a name, like "Bonus."
The next time you run payroll, enter the name you created for the group and click on the "Load Group" button.
If you want to delete a group, select the "Delete Group" button.
