The following utilities are available under Logs:

Error Log

If you get an error message while rebuilding or converting, the error log is where you would print the error in order to correct it. NOTE: The "Log Open Files" found by clicking on Help/About, will log to the error log all open files by the current user's Pak Accounting session.

Change Log

The Change log is a log that shows changes made to the system. You can view this log by specific sub-system or only show global changes (i.e. system security). The change log can also be filtered to a specific date range and a progress bare will show the filtering action. Changes will also list the User ID that made the change. Filtering capabilities are available in the grid to limit the amount of data presented on the screen.  Also see: Audit Reports

Alert Log

This log shows automatic processes being done in the system. Note: This is not the same as the Alert Response, which is part of the Alert feature.

Network Test- This utility will run a series of tests that will be similar to the day-to-day operation of Pak Accounting. It will record the time it takes and compare the time with the standard benchmark. This test should be run when there is no activity on the network and when the network is busy. The test will take 10-20 minutes to run and should only be run on one workstation at a time. The reporting will detail the amount of time it took to complete each task.
