Update/Post Revenue/Billing Cycle

Once all reports have been run and reviewed, it’s time to post and close the cycle. Note: It’s a good idea to make sure all other windows are closed before coming into this screen. This way you don’t accidentally have anything in Edit mode.

This screen lists out what this process consists of. Please read through this screen carefully. As you can see, a lot goes into posting a cycle which is why we highly recommend not skipping the backup.

Clicking on OK, will update the Revenue/Billing Cycle. Make sure the backup is setup and DO NOT skip it.  This is the point of no return, once the current cycle is updated, all entries will be posted and the cycle information cannot be accessed except in history.  A backup is the easiest way to restore information in case something goes wrong during posting (such as an electrical outage or computer failure).

Unpaid/Unbilled Balances - Listing by Property, of balances either Not Paid or Not Billed in the last cycle run.  This report reconciles your ‘Billings in Process’ and your ‘Revenue Payables’ by lease.

If all of the entries in one of the Revenue/Billing journals do not post, the system will notify the user with a message.

NOTE: The Unpaid/Unbilled report will separate the Errors from the Unpaid/Unbilled report itself.
