Payroll Combined

This optional system will allow for the combining of multiple payroll companies into a single company for Federal and State reporting purposes.  

For example:  Two payroll companies with the same EIN # can be combined for printing 941's, W-2, etc.  The combined payroll company is intended for reporting only.  You will not be able run payroll cycles or change history in the combined company.  All changes must be made in the individual companies prior to being combined.  

 

NOTE:  Payroll combine does not relate to G/L combining companies.  It only combines payroll information for printing reports.  If using both Payroll combine and G/L consolidation, you must set up the Payroll combine first.

 

Setup:

 

1.  Set up Payroll companies to be combined and run normal payroll cycles.  

NOTE: Pay details MUST be exactly the same in both companies.

 

2.  Create a Combining Payroll company.  Under Payroll Master File Maint / Advanced Options / Intercompany Tab. Select Payroll company type "Combined" and enter the companies to be combined 5 digit company code separated by semi-colon ';'.

 

3.  After setup, exit out of Pak Accounting.  The next time you go into Payroll in the combined company, you will be asked if you want to combine.  Select YES and Pak Accounting will combine the two designated companies into this company.
